A fantastic give-away track from The Grits.
DOT had the pleasure of having them down to Mr Wolfs way back in September 2011, and I can tell you that live, they are stupidly good!
This great free track has just re-appeared on my SC feed. An anthem of sorts for the Intrigue regulars circa 2007. Definatly worth checking the Intrigue website for more audio niceness.
Listening to that Mikal mix below made me think about this great mix from Kasra that came out a couple of months ago…… Seriously tight mix.
A promo mix for D&B DJ/producer Mikal’s appearance in the Metalheadz room of Rodigan’s Ramjam next Saturday (April 27) at Motion. I must say that the line-up is one that could well tempt me down…..
Some right nice vibes on this free track coming via Clubroot’s soundcloud, a colaborative effort with Phaeleh from back in ’09. It sounds really familiar, must have heard it in a mix or something maybe…..
Seems ages since Clubroot III (although was probably only a year ago), hope to hear some new material soon!
So here ya go, my second “DOT.cast”.
Quite enjoying chilling for an hour or so and playing some music.
Check the tracklist for details of the music played and go search it up on the internets.Tracklist
Welcome to the very first DOT.cast…..
Work commitments etc have left me unable to hold down a radio show, so I thought I would delve into the world of podcasting, or DOT.casting (see what I’v done there yeah?).
This is all about me kicking back for an hour or so to listen to and share some music that I’m feeling.
Expect all manner of (mostly) electronic music that I’v been sent, or picked up off soundcloud, bandcamp etc.
I’ll stream the show live via mixlr then the archives of these DOT.casts will be made available to listen to and download via either the mixlr showreal, soundcloud or mixcloud, whatever you prefer.
I’ll post up full tracklists too, so y’all can go and hunt these tracks out for yourselves.Tracklist
MORNING!!! This dude Maxx Baer makes some fucking bangers!!!!! I’v been playing out his remix’s of Buraka Som Sistema’s “Hangover” and Kahn & Neek’s “Percy”, as well as his own productions for a while now and they go-fucking-off!
Due to him amassing 1,000 fans on facebook, he has given away his track “Sparta”.
You can cop-it off his facebook page and I suggest checking out his other tracks on there too.
Expect plenty of Intrigue releases and plates, alongside tracks from newcomers such as Roy Green & Protone and veterans like Marky and Marcus Intalex.
As I said…… deep rollers. Nice!Tracklist
Just had a message through from a producer called Ellie Herring (whom I know only through the internet) to let me know that she has done a remix of Janet Jackson’s “If”, and that it is available for free d/l. Nice.
Not being familiar with the original, I had a quick google……….. it’s shit. So extra props to Ellie for making this great tune!
I recommend having a scroll though the rest of Ellies’ SC for more great “jams” and mixes.
Just having a scroll though me soundcloud feed to find something smooth to listen to on this bank holiday Monday…….. didn’t have to go far down ’til I found this beauty, 4 chilled hours of beats with DJ Frenic at the controls that went out on Greek station EL Lefko.
It’s basicaly a mix of some of my favorite tracks from the likes of DJ Shadow & DJ Krush, as well as plenty of Frenic’s own great productions.
Two great sets recorded live from DOT @ Mr Wolfs in March 2013.

D&B production due Hobzee & Zyon Base have only gone and given away a nice deep roller complete with sultry horns and chats about religious experiences. Perfect for soothing my (self inflicted) sore head this morning.
I had wondered if their output would cease as the focus moved to their Silent Dust project, but it looks like it hasn’t, unless it’s and old track, ummmm, might do some research……
Tidy track either way, hope you enjoy.
I hadn’t heard of SPD before their release on Slime.
Here is their mix for Slime’s Free Mix series, an eclectic mix of dance floor bass music, old and new.
SPD’s second EP for the label drops at Juno on Monday, and I can tell you that it is gooooood.

This has just re-appeared on my facebook feed. Vibes from The Allergies, with part of the video shot at one of DOT’s homes, No’51 Stokes Croft.
Can’t say that I know / know anything about Turtle Dub, their just someone I follow on soundcloud.
Thought I would share this freely downloadable track just before I head out the door for work.
Sparse, minimal beats and slowed out low-end set the base for some real nice vocals.
Get on the D/L and hit that follow button I recon.
Deep Bristol vibes here from the newly formed Doll State. I will endeavour to get them down to play at DOT soon.
You can also get yourself a free D/L of this track off of their soundcloud.
